There are many factors that influence value of real estate assets. Broadly speaking, one of the most influential is government intervention through legislative policy. A subset of this government oversight is geopolitics. Never has geopolitics been more at the forefront then it is at this point in the world economy. Uncertainty in valuation can take on many forms. On the surface it would appear obvious that uncertainty translates into reduced valuations. However, some asset classes benefit from uncertainty while others are not impacted.
